The Targa Florio was the first racing circuit in the world, whith around 8.000 bends and covering almost 800 kilometres. In 2016, the Targa Florio celebrated it's 100th anniversary and Porsche it's first overall victory with Umberto Maglioli in 1956. A total of 3 lorries, with 16 vehicles, 4 racing drivers, 16 employees and journalists travelled to Sicily for the event. The unique spectacle took place for 3 days, with the enthusiastic Sicilians bringing the flair to this racing event. The museum team took advantage of this anniversary race to capture some special photos: The former racing drivers Vic Elford, Gijs van Lennep, Herbert Linge und Günther Steckkönig drove to locations of earlier scenes and re-enacted what had taken place there against the current backdrop.
